Kärcher World Meeting is the most important, annual meeting of Kärcher branch office managing directors from over 190 countries. The selection of Cracow as the venue for this year’s meeting, which will take place on 27-30.07.2009 is an honor for the Polish branch of Kärcher, as well as a perfect opportunity to promote our country and especially Cracow among representatives from over 190 countries from around the world. The Alfred Kärcher GmbH board – the organizer of the World Meeting – decided to entrust the organization of this year’s conference to event-factory.
Kärcher is a powerful corporation which was founded in 1935 in Germany. It currently employs around 7000 people. The Karcher product range encompasses over 2000 items. The company boasts over 1000 patents and innovative solutions. The world meeting will be attended by several very special guests, most prominently Johanness Kärcher – the son of the company’s founder. The Alfred Kärcher GmbH board – the organizer of the World Meeting – decided to entrust the organization of this year’s conference to event-factory. The agency will ensure a location within Cracow, prepare a program of the events which will be organized during the conference and provide the technical infrastructure for the conference: sound, lighting, projection and multimedia systems.
The previous edition of the Kärcher World Meeting was held in Petersburg and Switzerland has been chosen as the host of next year’s event. This year’s congress will begin with a Management Meeting held at the Cracow Magistrate conference facility. The conference participants will also take part in almost three days of works hops where they will be introduced to the newest products and technologies implemented in 2009 by Karcher. The work meetings will take place in the antique confines of the Royal Castle in Niepołomice. The summary business meeting will be organized in the Drozdowice IV Chamber of the Wieliczka salt mine. The congress participants will be entertained by numerous attractions and events which will no doubt make them reminisce their time in magical Cracow very fondly.
The program will include such attractions as sightseeing the Old Town, Wawel Royal Castle and taking the underground route at the Wieliczka salt mine. The participants will also take part in a specially prepared concert which will take place several hundred meters underground in the Saint Kinga Chapel in the Wieliczka salt mine. The performance will include musicians from the Capelli Cracoviensis conducted by Jan Tomasz Adamus with solos performed by one of Poland’s greatest sopranos Joanna Buczek. The Karcher World Meeting will also have its share of sports – the congress participants will test their mettle in a football tournament, which will take place at the Skotniki Sport Centre. The final evening of the event will be highlighted by an unforgettable party in the Archeological Museum gardens in Cracow. There will be plenty Polish accents especially those from the Cracow region. The guests will have the opportunity to dance and feast on traditional Polish dishes as well as listen to beautiful folk arrangements of the biggest pop hits performed by Siwy Dym. As you can see, despite the ever present calls of crisis, congress tourism in Cracow is doing very well and more and more global Corporation are choosing Cracow as an attractive location for organizing conferences, despite the Lack of conference infrastructure or large hotel base.
